ARCHIVED NEWS:
07/31/2006:
I've noticed a decrease in the forum usage recently and have noticed that since the forum opens in a new window, pop up blockers prevent it from opening. So, next time you think the forum is broken or not working, just press the CTRL key and click on the link. This goes for all links on the site that may seem broken (a lot of the photos open in a new window). There are a few "regulations" out there that the site doesn't conform to, I am working on an entirely different layout that does conform to the regulations, but in the meantime, you gotta hit CTRL when you click the forum, or just disable popups all together for this site. I can guarantee you there is nothing malicious on this site, you're not going to get a virus (except in your mind).
07/12/2006:
I got an email from Dennis stating that everything in the store is now only $10, this incudes Double CD's and Video's! So get to the store and stock up on a few things. Their commercial releases are also available now in the store!
07/07/2006:
Ok, I'm working on a new site design so please excuse the lack of updates. If you want to check out the new layout, please do so here. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
06/16/2006:
The forum got buggered up somehow, you'll have to register an account again to get access to it, it's simple and easy.
6/6/6:
Here we are again, another month without a new album. I have heard some rumors, but I can't tell you anything. Look for a new video coming this month, Rock & Roll.
05/01/2006:

The stars refuse to shine at night
04/27/2006:
We all know The Frogs played at the Cactus Club on the 22nd, not all of us were able to make it, but, there is a DVD floating around that JWB was kind enough to send me, and, to share a bit of the love, I have put a video of "Out of Love" on the site. ENJOY! (jimmy shaved his head)
04/20/2006:
It's 4/20, and you know what that means, that's right! I've updated the Song of the Month! I made a little remix of "Don't Cry" (from Jim's Songs '89) and put up one of my favorite songs, "Room Full of Blood"
04/01/2006:
A new show on April 22nd has been announced! My computer is back up so I can do updates and what have you. Going to install the TV card tomorrow and get some video action on here, I also will be putting up 2 songs for the song of the month area, seeing as how I missed March...
02/17/2006:
There is an upcoming show at Mother Fools on March 10th (see info to the right)
02/07/2006:
I got an email from Jimmy today, I guess they have decided to close their PO box, so I've updated the contacts page to reflect this. I've also added the rest of the 2005 shows to the tour history.
02/01/2006:
It's February already, it's been tough for me to update the site lately, I've moved to a new city and have not found a job yet, so I travel back to my old job on occasion when they need me, working part time to make loot. BUT, that doesn't mean that the whole month of January was wasted! GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! Just check out the Audio Downloads, I've uploaded a complete set from 1995 where The Frogs opened up for Pearl Jam. It's an audience recording in a stadium, so it's not the best quality, but hey, it's The Frogs. I've also uploaded The Frogs cover of Space Oddity (a special request from a forum member), which is also on the Audio Downloads page.I'm also working on a remix of "Bear" which should be done this month, it sounds fucking rad so far, so you guys should love it. OOHHH.. and I almost forgot, I had a post a while back about hidden backwards lyrics in "Savior #2", I've added the two files together, it's a clip of the intro to the song, forward, and then backward, you can download it here. I guess some of the songs of the month were neglected to be added to the audio downloads page when the given month was over, so I added links to all those that were missing. Last but not least, a new song of the month which reveals extreme tension between Jimmy and Dennis (and earlier in the show, Dennis' contempt with an audience member)
01/01/2006:
Happy new year! Enjoy the "Come With Me" song of the month, they played the song 3 times in a row @ 2001-11-11 (Little Brothers, Columbus, OH). The first one is acoustic, the 2nd is electric, and then the last one is a slow version. I know, it's a great way to ring in the new year! WOOO HOOOO!
12/28/2005:
Some fucking idiot who claims to be a Frogs fan was posting the video from my site, on his myspace profile (eating up my bandwidth). I wouldn't really care if I didn't have to pay for this site, and I wouldn't really care if he had asked for my permission but this is what ensued:
|
Please remove the video which loads from my website off of your
profile. It eats up my bandwidth quota, this coupled with the
fact that you've done it without permission has led to me
getting pissed off. -Chris okay chris, first off, i'm sorry about your bandwidth. (obviously you're canadian) that being considered i will decline your offer to take off anything on my myspace account that has to do with the frogs because i am a frogs fan like yourself. any airplay that the frogs get is fair play for the frogs to get.i'm the one that e-mailed you requesting that you upload fruitbatsalad onto your website. i will credit thefrogsarchieves.com for the video, otherwise you can show me proof that you bought it from atomic records. i can't believe that a frogs fan would be so anal. fuck you, im glad i know your profile, you vain bastard. all things considered, -david |
What a fucking jerk. Feel free to send him an email: Spumpkin8@aol.com
I guess those 75 friends of his are going to turn The Frogs into super stars!
So from now on, I guess you can email me if you want the video and I'll send you the link to it.
12/14/2005:
I've added a special bonus song to the song of the month. It's a pretty intense song that gives me goose bumps when I listen to it. I hope you all enjoy it. (I know you will)
12/06/2005:
Ok ok, so it's been more than a day since the video got up, but hey, it's up no so enjoy it (you can find it in the file archive). I moved out of my old apartment and have to stay with my folks for a week, but I took my comp to work with me and now you can watch the video!.
12/01/2005:
I've updated the song of the month. This is an interesting song because the chorus from "Nipple Clamps" came from this song. I've also got a video in the works, it's from a DVD I got from trading some kid for something sometime ago. It has since come to my attention that the video footage was from a compilation called "Fruit Bat Salad". It's got The Frogs at lollapalooza 94 but two of the songs, Billy Corgan is onstage for (the other is a Hole cover). It's great though, they smash Mr. Corgan's sunglasses, throw him on the ground, wrap him in wires, and scream in his face. I'll post that tomorrow. It's a rather large file though, something like 145 megabytes.
11/18/2005:
3 NEW SHOWS ADDED! If you're in the midwest, consider yourself lucky.... As for me on the east coast, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
11/14/2005:
THE AUDIO DOWNLOADS ARE BACK! I got a notice from my hosing company that said they upped my bandwidth from 25GB/month to 250/GB per month, so that should be more than enough to support the audio download page. I've also updated the song of the month!
10/28/2005:
I added a few dates from 2003 and 2004 to the tour history page, and also added the show from Bottom of the Hill on 5/19/2003 to the store page. I'll be adding some more lyrics in the very near future. Again I must apologize about the site being down for a couple weeks.
10/23/2005:
So, thefrogs.org went down. I was told for "a couple days" I guess that means "a couple weeks" Either way I got sick of it and registered thefrogsarchive.com, so update all your links and tell all your friends! With the new hosting, the audio downloads will be gone for a while. I will still have a song of the month, but the whole audio section is going to get rebuilt. NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED!!!! (check the menu on the right!) Please let me know if there are any problems with any of the links (the server runs on linux which is case sensitive when it comes to filenames)
09/21/2005:
A note from Jimmy Flemion: "The Frogs are pleased to announce the addition Of Paypal to this website. Now with just a click of a button your favorite Frogs music is just a click away." That's right, the Paypal account has been set up and tested so head on over to the store page and get buying! I've also corrected the lyrics I posted yesterday as per an email from Jimmy himself! So you gotta know that they're right on.
09/20/2005:
I've got some new lyrics for you, Jim's Love Songs '89. Check them out here. If you see any mistakes, please send me an email and let me know. I had some trouble with the songs "Don't You Go Away" and "So Much For Love". I've also been trying to set up the store page for paypal, I have a couple more to add to the account but I need to hear back from Jimmy first. It should be done by the end of the week and then you can all buy stuff with the ease of paypal!
09/04/2005:
Oh snap, it's Sunday and I promised updates on Friday, what the hell was I thinking. New SOTM added, and the PO Box info on the store page was removed. Jimmy sent me an e-mail stating that the PO Box will no longer be used for orders, and that he is in the process of opening a paypal account. So you all should head over to Paypal's website and start a paypal account! Oh yes, and those Jim's love song lyrics _are_ on the way. I need to transfer them to my computer at my new apartment, so please be patient.
08/05/2005:
The forum is BACK! I've found a nice little utility to help me fix the forum when it breaks, so hopefully, the forum will be up and running smoothly FOREVER!
08/02/2005:
Good Lord it's August already. Well, for those of you hungry for info on the "new album", there is a rumor of two new albums in the works. That's right, TWO! One "spiritual", and one "sad". Someone mentioned to me how fucking rad it would be if they released a double album, one disc of Jimmy, one disc of Dennis, sort of like "Speakerboxxx / The Love Below" (Outkast) except better, obviously. Sorry I'm a day late on the song of the month, but the new song of the month will make you cry, get it.
07/30/2005:
As many of you may know, the forum is down. I've emailed Rocky, the guy who owns the server, but haven't heard back from him yet. I think it's a problem w/ the SQL server that handles the Forum database.
07/15/2005:
So it looks like I've been slacking off huh? Well I have been working on lyrics for a TON of Jim's songs, I just haven't completed them yet. Look for them in the NEAR future. I apologize for not updating recently, but once these lyrics come online, you'll drool.
07/01/2005:
New song of the month! It's my recent favorite... "Disappear, Destroy, Magic, Luck, Enjoy"
06/30/2005:
Jones Soda is holding a label contest, I've submitted my pic of Jimmy.. check it out here, and VOTE ON IT!
06/29/2005:
I found a couple photos of some promo posters that were given out with the release of StarJob back in 1997. The first one, I actually got on eBay, and am planning to frame it...
06/21/2005:
I just added some photos from the 02/21/2004 show that The Frogs played at the Music Cafe in Columbia, MO.
I received from mocart some scans of items he got while at the 02/02/2002 show @ The Splash, Mobile, AL. He sent me scans of the setlists that he grabbed off the stage, a setlist that Jimmy wrote out for him after the show, and a scan of an autographed promo photo. THANKS MOCART!
06/15/2005:
J. Sickness sent me a nice photo of a flyer that was made for his private Frogs party on 05/04/2002.
06/14/2005:
I've added a new show to the tour history. It's the earliest date so far (03/30/1984) and includes mostly songs from the "death songs" era. I used to own this on video, but I lent it to a friend and it was stolen out of his truck in Brooklyn. (I'm still pissed) The setlist got unearthed while going through an old hard drive of mine and found it in a trade list that I had made.
06/11/2005:
I guess back in 1994 Eddie Vedder DJed something somewhere and had a frogs song to play. It was "I Only Play 4 Money", but the version he had seemed to be a rough mix with full on drums and guitars, and a screaming guitar solo at the end. Download it here, or on the audio page.
06/09/2005:
I've added photos of the SUNY Purchase show from April 16th, 2004 featuring Evan Dando on the stage singing like a lark.
06/08/2005:
Jimmy appears in another movie! It is called "Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley" (homepage) Jimmy performs with Sebastian Bach doing a cover of Jeff's "Eternal Life". Read about it here. (about 1/2 way down the page)
06/07/2005:
The rest of the Jim's Love Songs tracklists have been added to the store as well as the self-released discography.
06/02/2005:
I've added a ton of photos to the photo section... go check them out! This is old news, but still entertaining, it's when someone played 10 frogs songs in a row on the air and got the radio station removed from the airwaves for a quite some time while they played a loop of classical music.
06/01/2005:
I guess the Forum had some issues earlier today, and I seem to have lost about 1 months worth of posts as well as users that signed up since May, 02, 2005. Sorry about this, I don't really know what happened. But, feel free to start using it again, I will be making regular backups of the database from now on :)
05/26/2005:
BTK emailed me another nice little tidbit of Frogs ephemera, it's a hand lettered poster written on the back of a paper placemat for their 07/30/1999 show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ. I think I'll place it in the photo gallery.
A new section was added entitled "File Archive" (check the sidebar). I'm using it as a central place to keep interesting files. Right now, it houses all 3 of the Rosy Jack World newsletters in PDF format, again a very special treat from Brian T. Komar. I also included a link to get the PDF viewer.. enjoy!
I've also been fiddling with the html code on all of the pages, so if you see any page that looks "out of order" please drop me an email and let me know which one it is. I left a mixed CD in my mom's car with a bunch of frogs on it, and the other day, I heard her singing along to "Raped". I just thought I should share that with everyone.
05/24/2005:
A very special treat from Brian T. Komar: The Rosy Jack World Newsletter #2. This isn't the website, it's the actual newsletter that got mailed out to the people who signed up for it! It's in PDF format, so you will have to get Adobe's PDF viewer (here) to read it, but it's very interesting. Look for more archived newsletters in the near future! Once you get the PDF viewer, download RJW #2 here.
I'm pretty psyched about this, I've tabbed out "I've Kissed Your Lips = Hell" all by myself. It sounds just like the way Jimmy plays it at the Linneman's show on 08/14/2003. Check it out here. That makes 15 new tabs in the past week! Love them, learn them, live them.
Also, check the audio downloads page for a new treat!
05/23/2005:
The lyrics for "Made Up Songs 5,7,9" have been added to the lyrics page, as well as the lyrics for "Don't Really Care". Check out the Guitar Tabs for 14 new songs including "The Longing Goes Away" and "Satan's In The Manger" Thanks to Mary D. for showing me how to play The Longing Goes Away.
05/20/2005:
I've added cover scans to most of the "made up" CDs in the store section, as well as "death songs". A special thank you to animalcox from the forum for the scans! Also, the Tour History is coming along quite well, some 2001 and 2002 set lists have been added.
05/19/2005:
I went away for the weekend to visit some friends and ended up staying longer than expected, but now that I'm back, the site is going to get updated quite a bit. First off is a NEW CD in the store page. Dennis emailed me the tracklisting and info, so go check it out.
05/11/2005:
I've been working closely with JWB on the Tour History section, and it's coming along quite well. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank JWB for all he has contributed, the Tour History section would not be possible if it weren't for his knowledge. I found the old (inactive) frogs group on Yahoo Groups. Check it out here, there are some nice pictures there.
05/08/2005:
I've added "The Longing Goes Away (Jim, solo acoustic)" to the audio downloads page. Nice clean vocals that could almost bring a person to tears. I've also been working on the tour history page, adding some set lists and info to a bunch of the shows.
05/06/2005:
Back by popular demand: The Dancing Flemion Brothers!

|
05/05/2005:
Check out an mp3 download from the WFMU website, "I Only Play 4 Money" done with piano and crazy Yoko Ono / Mark Bolan vocals. It's about halfway down the page and was featured on the "Live Music from a Dead Campus" 2cd set released by WFMU. I'm also reposting this from a few years ago: Jimmy appeared in a movie called "Final Rinse", the website is here, and some behind the scenes pictures with Jimmy in them are here. I've also added 9 new tabs! <check it>
05/04/2005:
If you haven't noticed already, there is a new link to the left entitled "Tour History" It's going to chronicle the prolific touring history of The Frogs, along with tons of info on each show, so look forward to it.
05/03/2005:
Added the tracklisting for the 05/21/2003 show at Berbati's Pan along with the Jingle Bunny 1 tracklist to the store section. I'm going to start work on a very large project for the site, I can't tell you what it is yet, but I can guarantee that once it's finished, it will make you cum. I've just added the lyrics to the "Made Up Songs 1,6" release, check them out here. AVATARS! (they work now in the forum)
05/02/2005:
Got another email from Jimmy, and with it comes an update to Jim's Songs #1, and Jim's Love Songs "88". Go check them out on the lyrics section! I've added the tracklisting for "Hopscotch (outtakes)" and "Racially Yours (outtakes)" to both the store section, and the self-released discography section. I've also added some new audio downloads, so go check 'em out! I also added the different track lists for Jim's Songs #1, and #2, (versions 1 and 2) to the self-released discography, and changed the lyrics section to show this.
04/29/2005:
I've added a "self-released" section to the discography. If you have something that's not on the list, please email me. I've also added track listings to some of the stuff in the store. And finally a new addition to the photo's page, 09/13/2002, a show i went to at Mohawk Place in Buffalo, NY, and the source of that nice photo of Jimmy that used to be on the front page. I've added a new item to the
self-released discography section, a cassette titled "jim, jim" with some interesting tracks on it.
I don't know if this is "old news" but, The Frogs were played on the Howard Stern show on September 5th, 2003. Here is a link, scroll down to "-- Friday September 5, 2003 -- " for the info
04/28/2005:
Added a poster to the photos page, corrected a few errors in the lyrics section. I got an email from Jimmy today correcting the lyrics for "Jim's Songs #1", so if you want the correct lyrics, go check them out.
04/27/2005:
Check out The Frogs @ myspace! A nice pic of the boys w/ Kurt Cobain on their start page. With a little user submission, we have some new photos to enjoy, and three new tracks to listen to. A special thanks goes out to JWB for being pro-active. Seeing as how this site seems to be growing larger on a daily basis, I have started to mark the recent additions with "new!" at the end of them, that way if you're skimming through, you can see latest additions. One of those new additions being a key piece of any fan's collection; The Frogs self titled on vinyl (thanks Nate).
04/26/2005:
I've added the track listing for Toy Porno, and the 1st LP out takes CD on the store page. Also, a little interesting tidbit, at the beginning of "gather 'round for savior #2", Jimmy says "savior number three" backwards. Check it out: (forward clip) (backward clip) Spooky and interesting...
04/25/2005:
Added tab for "Raped" as requested by nibble via the forum. A special thanks to my brother Kevin for tabbing that out. I got Kevin hooked on the frogs when I took him to his first show a while back and now he's a fanatic like me. Hopefully he'll be doing some more tabs for the site in the near future. I've added my own tab of "Sleep on the Street" for everyone to enjoy, as well as edited the spacing on some of the other tabs, so check em out! I've also added lyrics to "Dennis Flemion: Voice Only", a compilation of voice and drum tracks that was sold only at shows, look for an mp3 in the near future.
04/24/2005:
There is a new compilation that has been added to the discography section. A few corrections to the contact info page, and the store page (thanks to JWB). Also corrected the lyrics to Negro on Fire (thx again JWB) This just goes to show that user interaction is key! So please submit comments, suggestions, changes, photos, lyrics, tabs, anything! I've also added a news archive so this front page isn't so damn cluttered. And finally, I've added a backup of Rosy Jack World in the Links section.
04/21/2005:
Added lyrics and track listing for Jim's Love Songs '88 (33 songs!) Also added my autographed ass to the photos page.
04/20/2005:
I added the track listings to a bunch of the live shows on the store page. Also added some lyrics to the "Unreleased" section on the lyrics page. Also fixed the lyrics to familiar peculiar (changed "my whole intention" to "my homing pigeon") Added photos from the 12/19/2002 Khyber Pass show.
04/19/2005:
The best picture of Jimmy EVER!
(click for 794k image)
04/18/2005:
I added an ass load of lyrics to the lyrics section, including unreleased materials that have only been performed live. I'll be adding to this section on an almost daily basis until I have written out all the lyrics to all the songs I have. It should take a while, but hey, I live with my parents and have no life :)
04/17/2005:
As you can see I've been working my tail off getting this new design online. I've worked for days on end to bring everyone the best possible Frogs experience on the web. I will be updating the site all the time with new songs, photos, reviews, etc.... So please sit back and soak it in, in all it's glory!
04/16/2005:
I've added three links along the top of the page for quick access to some of the more commonly visited areas of the site. (this may change with time) Almost finished with the new design, still have to add the store, collection, links, contact, tab, and the photo gallery, but I'm working fast....
01/16/2003:
New tour date added... More added to the Lyrics Section!
01/08/2003:

site on my site.

Greback) is now hosted on The Frogs Archive. If anyone has a frogs site and
needs a home for it, drop me an email and I would be glad to host it for
you!

The site was down for a day. I tried to install a new HD for the site and
transfer my Windows partition over, but because of stupid Windows XP
Activation, my computer refused to boot. But, I'm back and better than ever.
09/16/2002:
I think the BBS is functional...
09/15/2002:
The show in Buffalo, NY on the 13th was in-fucking-sane! I almost got raped,
the crowd was 100 Harley bikers!! Read about it here, also read why I have
no audio/video of the show (sorry)
09/11/2002:
I am going to the show in Buffalo, NY on Friday. It's at 43 East Mohawk St.
(click here for a map) I've added a bonus song because I know how much you
guys love The Frogs! Look for audio/video of this
Friday's show by next weekend!
09/08/2002:
I've decided to take down the Audio Archive (except for the live stuff) and
go with a song of the week type deal. I'm going to add a video section and
I'm working on the BBS so keep cumming back. Oh yea, and if you haven't
noticed, this is a new layout. I just have to trickle it down past the first
page.
